It is the condition of infected skin & soft tissues lying below it .

Cause-
It is caused by a bacteria (streptococcus ,staphylococcus (& more serious if infected by MRSA i.e.,methicillin - resistant staphylococcus aureus ) .

* infection chances increase in : obese, poorly controlled diabetes, use of injected drugs or u had cellulitis before

Symptoms -

1 . Puncture , wounds , sore , red patches, inflamed , swelling & dirty wounds .

2 . Poor circulation, tenderness, pain,abscess
leakage &swollen eyes .

3 . Fast growing itchy & painful rashes .

4 . Severe - lightheadedness, lethargy & aching muscles, fever, chills, nausea and vomiting.

Treatment -

1 . Ultrasound may be needed to locate abscess or vein thrombosis

2 . Wounds should be clean ,moisturised
